Abstract
As cities are experiencing the negative impacts of climate change, World is striving to improve the livelihood of their inhabitants by producing and integrating renewable energy; aiming to reduce their carbon footprint; transitioning to distributed electrical power systems, promoting and developing sustainable transportation. 70 % of global energy-related CO2 emissions, the biggest problem arising is climate change. .Level of energy use are directly linked to physical form, spatial distribution and forms of buildings, streets, and parks, percentage of built and unbuilt forms as well as the spatial coordination in respect to enviornment. This paper aims to understand the Dynamics of Urban Form as it heavily affects Energy usage. It aims to study different neighborhoods their environmental characteristics, massing plans and energy consumption in different patterns. The methodology used is literature review analysis of different characteristics which influences residential building energy efficiency of a neighborhood.
