Abstract
Nowadays the use of precast concrete in various types of civil building construction work has been proven to save time in carrying out work in the field, has helped many parties so that the wider community can quickly use a variety of civil buildings that are done. This study aims to analyze the flexural strength of precast concrete blocks using pumice as a partial substitution of a concrete mixture. Pumice as a material produced from volcanic eruptions can be found in many areas in North Maluku Province. Pumice deposits are large enough to reach tens to hundreds of millions of metric tons scattered around volcanoes in the islands of Halmahera, Ternate and Tidore. The value of compressive strength and tensile strength of concrete using pumice provides information that pumice is suitable for use in concrete mixtures. Flexural strength indicates that precast concrete using pumice has a flexural strength value of around 3 MPa
