Abstract
Based on the data analyzed in this study, the trucks that most frequently use the Colombian road network in the northern part of the country cause relatively high damage factors, associated with the fact that a considerable proportion of them circulate with loads higher than the established legal maximums. It was found that largest trucks from the C3-S2 type and especially those from the C3-S3 type, are highly overloaded on their rear axles, generating very high damage factors; and above the national average established by the National Roads Institute (INVIAS).
