Abstract
The article is devoted to the image of the White Rabbit from L. Carroll’s novel “Alice in Wonderland” (1865), a work originally written for children, but later included in the circle of adult reading and became an inexhaustible source of inspiration for many cultural and art figures. The focus is on the creative interpretation of this image in the later cultural tradition. The methodological basis of the study is the literary view of the potential of reception (receptive potential) as an integral component of a work of art.
