Abstract
The current research presents a conceptual overview of the role and performance of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. It also posits how MSME had forward linkages to furthering of GDP, rise of output, production and consumption, besides employment generation, reduction of poverty, managing regional imbalances and increase in number of registered units. This paper also attempted to analyze the key challenges prevailing the sector.
