Abstract
The ideas of J.-F. Herbart and his followers became known and popular, and were introduced into school practice in the history of pedagogical thought of the XIXth ? the XXth centuries. For decades herbartian regulations of the curriculum, concentration and methodical development of new educational materials has been providing the scientific basis of the teaching process in educational institutions of Russia, England, Austria, Switzerland, France, and Poland. The constructive ideas and educational experience of J.-F. Herbart and his followers are not still updated.
