Abstract
The analysis of genre evolution as a syncretic whole will allow to consider changes in a construction and genre structure of legends and music led to the change of types of composite ratios between them, and also gives the chance to investigate the formation of classical instrumental kuy ? one of the greatest achievements of the Kazakh instrumental culture. The centuries of development of instrumental music in close connection with folklore led to the fact that a syncretic form of music-making (the story with playing) was dominating in traditional Kazakh culture that was reflected in all main parties of instrumental thinking.
