Abstract
Industrial revival, based on modern high-end technologies, is recognized as an important priority among advanced countries. An increasing number of foreign scientists and business representatives are discussing an Industry 4.0, the formation of "intelligent enterprises" and "intellectual industry". "Intellectual enterprises" actively use available knowledge, technologies, innovations, achievements of the latest industrial revolution, all of which is connected to processes of intellectualization.During the course of the study it was defined that that the intellectualization of the enterprise is an enhancement process of the role, application and the use of knowledge, information of innovative character in the enterprises functioning, which an enterprise has and uses to achieve the set of goals: advanced technologies (developed and/or acquired), highly qualified and motivated staff (self-trained and/or outsourced), automation and robotization of production; digitization of processes, intangible assets (created and/or acquired).Indicators of the Ukrainian industry's readiness for development towards Industry 4.0 are grounded in the context of intellectualization, which allowed analyzing: processes of creation, transfer, use of knowledge, growth of intellectual capital, use of the latest technologies and know-how in production, originality and complexity of goods, presented on a market, and their share of value added.Recommendations for enterprises’ development in Industry 4.0, based on their intellectualization, are given. In particular, it was noted that enterprises’ development, based on their intellectualization, shouldn`t mean an instant rejection of traditional manufacturing in the framework of III and IV technological modes. However, in the context of global economic benchmarks and Industry 4.0, it obtains specific features, namely - allowing industrial enterprises to change quickly and qualitatively in a short period of time. It is substantiated that this requires: first, the unification of key players in the modernization of an industry towards Industry 4.0 on the basis of their intellectualization (state, business and public sector enterprises, science and education) through the establishment of national platforms at the national level - Centers for the Development of Enterprises’ Intellectualization and relevant regional centers at the regional level. Secondly, focus on areas of deepening the process of intellectualization, such as: 1) developing human capital at enterprises through continuous training, upgrading and raising personnel’s awareness of innovative transformations, and holding on to highly skilled human capital; 2) transformation of national manufacturing enterprises into intellectual ones, using the achievements of the third and fourth industrial revolutions, by state stimulation of intellectualization, a direct support and development of the leading industries of the country.
