Ways to solve typical situations of misunderstanding in cross‐cultural couples

Abstract

A deep mental difference between partners in cross-cultural couples constantly creates causes for interpersonal misunderstanding, leading to conflict situations. The article describes and identifies ways to solve typical situations that cause misunderstandings in international couples in terms of both individual approach to the couple and generalizing examples of solutions in this context. In recent cross-cultural studies, the end result is finding a way to resolve key situations of misunderstanding between partners in an inter-ethnic couple. First of all, studies of these ways are deeply embedded in general scientific crosscultural research. The uniqueness of family relationships determines not only the specifics of the occurrence and course of conflicts in the family, but also reflects on the social and mental health of all its members in a special way. The main ways of solving family conflicts are considered. The main way to overcome typical situations of misunderstanding in a cross-cultural couple, as well as a mono-national, is to resolve the conflict.The basic strategies for solving complex situations are analyzed, especially in cases of complications related to the mental incision. It is suggested to use communication for the purpose of constructive exchange of views. The essential nature of the conflict has been determined. The feelings of the partners in the inter-ethnic couple are deeply analyzed and the misunderstandings become the causal basis of the situations. Facts from conflict studies and their effective resolution. The need for these studies in working with inter-ethnic couples to identify or prevent the occurrence of misunderstandings in such specific couples is substantiated and clearly demonstrated. The prospect of further research is the continuous improvement and finding of new ways of resolving situations of misunderstandings in couples that arise on an ongoing basis and are of constant relevance to almost every international couple. Practical development of such methods at different stages of working with a couple is very important.
