Abstract
The article focuses on the comparison of television and new digital media. Television and new digital media are constructing a social reality based on appealing to visible evidence. At the same time, television is a huge machine capable of producing integrated images of social reality. Furthermore, it has become a corporation that produces social meanings. Survey data indicate that television is becoming less popular among younger generations. It focuses on obtaining in-formation through new media and social net-works. Content presented in these media is associated with the local construction of reality and is personalized and local. As a result, this enables new digital media to form new contexts for constructing the world.
