Abstract
Vitamin A deficiency in adults is rare and fundus changes in vitamin A deficiency is still rarer. Here we present a case of middle aged man who had defective distant vision in both eyes for 2 years which started with difficulty in night vision. He had undergone gastric bypass surgery for peptic ulcer disease 10 years back and alcoholic liver disease. Fundus showed mild disc pallor with diffuse RPE mottling. He presented with tubular visual fields and diminished rod response in ERG. He was supplemented with oral and intramuscular vitamin A. His visual acuity improved and Fundus was normal except for few RPE mottling changes. His visual Fields and ERG became normal. This case has been presented for its rarity in adults.
