Abstract
The article tends to clarify strategies for building a global information society and digital economy in terms of STS-methodologies. The author explores the official strategic documents in the context of technological and humanitarian discourses. The concept of “geo-bio-socio-anthropo-technical” systems becomes a key to developing a risk-based approach. In the study of managerial language, the author relies on the approach of A. Ogurtsov, which differentiates between objective (naturalistic) and metaphorical descriptions. Metaphorical descriptions become central to the managerial language in the development of digital society. The author responds positively to the question about the possibility of convergence of technological and humanitarian approaches to the digital economy.
