Abstract
This article proposes to distinguish between global and local scales of analysis of the digital transformations of the economy and society, and postulates the interrelation between different scales of research. The author draws attention to the need for harmonization of languages of various disciplines. The increasing complexity and unpredictability of changes in social space in public consciousness is perceived as a challenge. The philosophical category of “uncertainty” acquires the features of a composite theoretical construct (“onto-episteme”). The paper discusses the problem of the place and role of instrumental intelligence in social practices and the challenges of digital transformations of society in the context of cognitive evolution.
