THE U.S.-CHINESE RELATIONS IN THE W.J. CLINTON ADMINISTRATION’S POLICY (1993-2001)

Abstract
The paper studies the evolution of the U.S.-Chinese relations during W. Clinton presidency when actually there was the first "strategic shift" in the U.S. post-Cold War policy towards East Asia. It analyzes the most considerable events and key spheres of the bilateral relations, as well as the major factors defining their development. The conclusions about significant changes in the U.S.-Chinese relations towards their greater interdependence, equality and importance for both states are made. The influence of the changes on the further developments in bilateral relations is estimated.
