Abstract
Objectives: The susceptibilities of ESBL-producing E.coli and K. pneumoniae to ertapenem, meropenem and piperacillin-tazobactam.53 strains of E.coli and K. pneumoniae were studied. Methods: They were originally resistant to ceftazidine. Minimum inhibitory concentration of the strains towards ertapenem, meropenem and piperacillin-tazobactam were determined by Vitek-2 compact system.
