Abstract
Isikhism: The Story Of A TransformationReligious groups and communities are of several dimensions when we are in it. First of all, it is a very privileged issue of sociology of religion. On the other hand, the communities are located in the upper places of the day as different living forms of religion. Be-yond these, religious groups and communities are in discussion with many problems in relation to the individual and the state. In this article, particularly since the 1980s Turkey's intense so-cial, religious and political agenda is addressed Ishikism which it has occupied. In this sense, the fundamental issue of the article, together with the basic views and approaches of Ishikism, is the change that has existed since the 1980s. Therefore, the social, political, economic and cultural changes affecting the process in the perspective of religious perspectives and structure of Ishikism are also discussed.Ishikism, as it is known, is a community structure that bases itself on Imam Rabbani. The emergence is based on a series of activities of the 1970s. The names that stand out in this frame are Arvasi and H. Hilmi Isik. The community is based on the fam-ily name of H. Hilmi Işık. Later, he continued his activities with Enver Ören, the father of Işık. Ören has become visible through a number of commercial activities as well as community leadership. This article focuses primarily on the cultural climate and con-juncture of the 1970s and 1980s; it has been tried to analyze the influence of this climate on the discourse and structure of light. In this sense, we can say that Ishikism, while preserving a tradition-al discourse, shows modern characteristics in terms of its actions.
