Islamic Thought, Principles and Achievements

This article examines the effects of the Qur'an on the for-mation of concepts in Islamic thought and the place of these con-cepts in Islamic thought. The concrete results of these concepts and the boundaries of the interpretations of the Muslims were tried to be clarified. Beside Muslims contrubitıon to the thought of Islam, also the influence of Judaism , Christianity, philosophy and ancient tradition was emphasized. In this context, the positive or negative aspects of the effects were tried to be pointed out. In some places, the concrete image of the contribution of Islamic thought to Islamic civilization was mentioned.
