Siyer Teaching in Terms Of Religious Diversity

Abstract
The life of Prophet Muhammed has been studied with its many aspects either by muslims or non-muslims and yet it is still a topic of many researches. In Imam Hatip High schools in “siyar” lessons the Prophet Muhammed's life is taught, but in these lessons historical explanation comes into prominence. But today's various and pluralist societies, young muslims need Prophet Muhammed's life as a model. therefore there is a need of a new perspective in teaching Prophet Muhammed's life in order to guide muslim people to keep their presence in today's pluralist societies. In this study, the siyar school books which are taught at imam hatip schools will be analyzed according to their point of diversity in religious terms. the concepts of Exclusivism,inclusivism and pluralism will be explained. After that in the framework of these concepts which approaches were used in writing these siyar school books, will be introduced with their examples.key words:
