Abstract
The highway is a complex of technical constructions, which represent difficult system of interacting constructive elements; their coordinated work aimed at the effective implementation of the functions, that is ensuring social and production needs in safe and comfortable movement from point A to point B. The construction of the highway is connected with a large number of the hidden works, which demand inspection at a construction stage; therefore the considerable part of constructive elements is outside the area of visual perception. It follows that externally the road is perceived as integral, single object, however it is reached as a result of effective and harmonious work of all constructive elements including inside engineering structures. The main task of diagnostics is timely detection of defects or deformations and the appointment of preventive maintenance to prevent their further development.
