Abstract

This article is devoted to the problem of formation of creative initiative of teenagers in the course of educational tasks completion. As a result of the theoretical and methodological analysis of a defined subject, the author represents her understanding of the notion of ‘creative initiative'. She defines it as a form of individual's activity appearance, which is mediated by its relation to a particular activity resulting in a subjectively qualitatively new and original product (object) that is personally significant for the subject. The work represents the model of formation of creative initiative of teenagers. There are five meaningful components outlined in its basis: personality assessment, motivation, creativity, emotional willpower and activity. The author developed a training program for the formation of creative initiative of teenagers, the individual elements of which are presented in this article. The program focuses on the use of psychological and pedagogical tools and the creation of special conditions which encourage development of meaningful components of creative initiative: personality assessment – through the formation of an adequate level of self-esteem, self-reflection skills and self-perfection; motivation – through the formation of a positive image of educational activity, raising the level of educational motivation; creativity – through the formation of creative thinking skills; emotional willpower – through the development of initiative, autonomy and perseverance, as the volitional qualities of the individual; activity – through the acquisition of a positive experience of expressing creative initiative, the formation of internal psychological readiness of students.
