INTERPRETATION OF RELIGIOUS TERMS IN PROPAGANDA OF RADICAL-EXTREMIST GROUPS

Abstract

The article highlights the methods and conditions for the phased involvement in their ranks by repre- sentatives of radical extremist groups, citizens of active age, interpreting religious terms. In particular, given information is that in their activities, representatives of radical extremist groups make extensive use of not the classical media (press, radio and television), but the modern look of this media, which is an Internet. When choosing a media that is difficult to control by the state – the Internet, they prefer social networks (Facebook, twitter) and mobile messengers. When recruiting future adherents of their group, representatives of radical extremist views use one of the psycho- logical methods known as neuro-linguistic programming. Dividing the path of involving new recruits in social networks into the operational, procedural and final stages, the radicals, each time, filtering and selecting as future adherents, ignorant fanatics who are unquestioningly ready to carry out any tasks. In bringing about their ideas, representatives of radical extremist groups skilfully use the interpretation of religious terms. In addition, the article analyses such Islamic terms as: “takfir”, “daru-l-kufr”, “daru-l-harb”, “daru-l-Islam”, “hi- jra”, “caliphate”, “bagiyat”, “jihad” and “shahid”, which in the modern world are considered as one of the press- ing issues in the matter of public safety, as well as stability and peace. The pseudo-meanings of the above terms are given with interpreted arguments from the sacred sources of Islam, according to the views of representatives of radical extremist groups. In addition, the true meanings of these terms, according to the interpretation of the representatives of Orthodox Islam (ahlu-s-sunna wa-l-jama`a) is given
