Abstract
The paper is focused on a problem rarely described in the Polish publications – the moral and ethical aspects of the history of the eastern borderlands of Poland. This subject is important because it's the axiology that drives the directions of culture and civilization. The paper shows the most important elements of the ethical and moral development in the borderland literature, arts and science, also including the sphere of political and social activity. The emphasis is put on the moral expression of the young generation. It's only this specific borderlines context that gives a true meaning to human behaviour.
