Abstract
On November 1, civilians started the defense of Lviv from Ukrainian forces. Young people, who earned their glory by defending the city went down in history as Lviv Eaglets. Unfortunately, dramatic situation of beleaguered Lviv did not cause proper reaction from Polish authorities. Owing to actions of the defenders of Lviv and arrival of reinforcements, on November 22 the city belonged to Poland again. In May 1919, as a consequence of military actions, Eastern Lesser Poland was incorporated to the Polish state.
