Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of the relations of emotion understanding and children's sociometric status in a peer group. This problem is not sufficiently studied in native psychology compared to a greater number of foreign psychological researches of the relationship between social-cognitive skills and sociometric status in preschool children. The main place in the article is devoted to the data analysis on relationship between different indicators of emotion understanding and sociometric status in preschool children. The results of the author's empirical study confirming the existence of the relation between understanding of own emotion by children aged 5–6 years and their sociometric status are presented
