Abstract

The rapid development of scientific and technological progress and the emergence of various electromagnetic radiation causes the human body to be in a certain environment, which, unfortunately, has a negative impact on the status of its various systems and organs. World Health Organization (WHO) considers electromagnetic environmental pollution - “electronic smog” - one of major threats to human health. The question is recognized so relevant that the problem of "electronic smog" posed by WHO at first place on the danger of exposure to human health. Comprehensive study of the mechanisms of ad-verse effects of non-ionizing radiation on systemic and dental health is relevant a problem of modern medicine and dentistry [6], which finds reflection in the structure of the ICD-10 classifier, where the influence of radiation of various etiologies on the state of hard tissues of teeth is considered in XI classes (C.03.81 - enamel changes due to irradiation) and XX (W90 - non-ionizing effect radia-tion). In recent years, dentists have noted the various manifestations of the negative effects of electromagnetic fields on organs and tissues of the oral cavity. The appearance of the disease is characterized by disorders of mineral metabolism in hard tissues of the teeth, hypersensitivity, the occurrence of wedge-shaped defects, erosions of enamel, the emergence of foci of demineralization, changes from the mucous membrane of the mouth in the form of gingivitis, hyposalivation [13]. The above data demonstrate the critical need for a thorough comprehensive assessment of possible biological effects of electromagnetic radiation and prevention of likely adverse effects on human health. The goal is the improvement of methods of prevention of diseases of the periodontal tissues (gingivitis and periodontitis) in persons exposed to electromagnetic radiation. Materials and methods. In the course of the study were examined in 65 workers directly involved in production in forging and welding workshop of the Kharkiv tractor plant, which are exposed to low frequency (70 kHz) of electromagnetic radiation of industrial frequency. The control group consisted of 46 healthy individuals of scientific and technical workers, who had direct influence of electromagnetic radiation. Results. Persons of the main group, after the basic complex treatment of:occupational health and rehabilitation of the oral cavity have been proposed, developed preventive system for use at home. 4-6 weeks after the start of prophylactic complex was carried re-examination and evaluation of the hygienic state of the oral cavity of the study group. During complex therapy of patients disappeared bleeding, pain and discomfort in the gums; significantly decreased swelling of the interdental gingival papillae, they clearly contoured became dense; the gums acquired a pale pink color. Sample Schiller-Pisarev was weakly positive within the gingival papillae, and by the end of the preventive course gave no color, indicating a normalization of glycogen content in the gum.
