Abstract
Ha-Jun Chang, doctor of philosophy of the University of Cambridge and laureate of the Leontief Prize, gives an original vision and a comprehensive view of economics, offering readers ideas that can not be found in classical economic textbooks. Ha-Jun Chang investigates economic growth as the evolution of production capacities and argues that economic changes are based on changes in technology. He criticizes the modern financial system and believes that a powerful force of finance must be subject to strict control. He does not give explanations and recommendations how to improve the economic system of Russia, however theoretical and practical conclusions about economic development of different countries will be extremely useful for Russian economists.
