Abstract
Scrutinizingthe effects of nostalgia,patriotism,entertainment,interestinstarplayersof match,excitement &drama onthe individual intentions to watchPakistan Super League (PSL) ontelevision. Moreover,moderating impact of social influence has been scrutinizedto better understand the individual motivations. Asurvey based approached was adopted to conduct the study anddata fromthe different universitiesstudentsof SindhPakistan was collected, after thatresults were calculated through different testes using SPSS and AMOS software.Patriotismand interest instarplayers of match is observed to havepositive influence on individual's motivationsto watch PSL on television.Butnostalgia, entertainment, excitement &drama found to have no impact(negative impact) on motivationsto watch sports on television.Social influence has been seen to have positive impact on the patriotic emotions, nostalgic association, interestin star players of the match, andon excitement &dramacreated due to match.Thisis the first study that scrutinizes the individual's motivations to watch PSL on televisionalso theimpactof social influence (moderator) on motivations of individuals of collectivistsocieties like Pakistan. Moreover,research inthe context of Pakistan Super League is also unique.
