Abstract
The actuality of motivation competence formation of the teacher is revealed in the article. The motivation essence and determination of mechanisms of its realization are considered. The importance of motivation of the teachers' work is defined. It is noted that motivation increases the effectiveness of teachers, improves their competitiveness. Attention is paid to the role of the postgraduate pedagogical education system in solving the issue of the continuous professional development of teachers. It is established that the motivational competence of the teacher is one of the essential characteristics of the teacher, which contributes to their successful professional activity. The key function of the postgraduate teacher education system is the formation of the teacher's motivational competence through stimulating teacher's interest. The following is necessary: acquaintance with innovative pedagogy; identification of individual goals and life prospects of the teacher; access to the information sources; availability of necessary equipment; support of the teacher's creative attitude to their daily work, to the search for new things. The incentives of the advanced training system are: dissemination and promotion of perspective pedagogical experience; attendance of the lessons with further analysis; certification of pedagogical staff; involvement in professional competitions; public praise for the successes achieved; publication of the results of the teachers' creative search in the educational and methodical publications of the institution and more.The formation of teachers' motivational competence in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education should be constant and the individual characteristics of teachers, as well as the microclimate, which promotes the professional competence of teachers, helps to improve self-esteem, improve knowledge and skills should be taken into the account. Teachers need to be tuned in to the awareness of the value of their profession, a sense of joy from success in their work. It is necessary to attend to the needs of the teacher
