Scaration world in romanah J. Apdika «Kenavr» and A. Kima «Seduk centarov»

This work is aimed at identifying and studying the facets of the contact of novels at the level of artistic reality. The artistic worlds of John Updike's Centaur and Anatoly Kim's Centaur Village have many facets of contact. Each of the novels we studied is characterized by mythologism, and the key mythology in both cases is the image of a centaur. Its functionality lies, among other things, in the development of the idea of the duality of human nature. However, despite the fact that the worlds of works are built on mythological material, the feature of «Centaur» is the complete interpenetration of reality and myth, which allows to achieve homogeneity of artistic reality. A different picture is observed in the «Centaur Settlement», whose artistic reality is characterized by multi-tieredness.
