Abstract
As the title implies the article describes one of the aspects of visual perception – color lexis. Much attention is given to the use of the adjectives of color. The implicit meanings of the adjectives white/белый, black/черный, red/красный, grey/серый, green/зелёный found in Antonia Susan Bayette's novel "Possession are examined. It should be emphasized that different meanings of these adjectives are suggested. The need to use color vocabulary to make our speech more emotional and bright is stressed
