Abstract

Background. The article presents the results of analysis of the dynamics of incidence and mortality from malignant neoplasms in the Kursk region in comparison with the corresponding parameters for the Russian Federation in 2014-2016. Aim. Incidence and mortality dynamics analysis from malignant neoplasms in the Kursk region in 2014-2016. Materials and Methods. In the work, a retrospective study of the Form No. 7 data «Information about malignant neoplasms» of the Kursk Regional Clinical Oncologic Dispensary was conducted. Results. An increase in the level of morphological verification from 91.5 to 95.2%, in the share of active detection (32.3%), a decrease in the proportion of neglect index (15%) and one-year mortality (22.2%) were noted. Conclusion. The ratio between mortality in the first year and the proportion of patients with stage II disease (the previous reporting year) equaling to 1.5 indicates a discrepancy between the recorded prevalence of the tumor process and the actual one.
