Abstract
Here we are reporting determination of metallic aluminum in sodium diacetate colorometrically by the use of hematoxylin. Many sophisticated techniques such as pulse polarography, HPLC, AAS, ICP-AES, ICP-MS, are available for the determination of aluminum at trace levels in complex materials are known. Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer was used to determine aluminum (Al) at 0.1 mg/kg level present in sodium diacetate NaH (OAc)2. So we propose determination of aluminum by Hematoxylin, with formation of lake at pH 4.5 and measurement of the unstable color at 540 nm.
