The Kyiv Treasury Chamber in Documents of the State Archives of the Kyiv Region

The archive fonds «Kyiv Treasury Chamber, Kyiv» (F. 280), which is stored in the State Archives of Kyiv Region, was inspected. The research methodology is based on general scientifi c and special methods. General scientifi c methods used in the study: comparative method, analogies; analysis and synthesis, deduction, systems approach, classifi cation and typology. Special archival methods include retrospective method, historical, scientifi c heuristics, critique of sources. These methods allowed to study the structure of the archival fonds, analyze and characterize the structural elements and identify documents. Scientifi c novelty. Based on the analysis of the archival fonds «Kyiv Treasury Chamber, Kyiv» (F. 280), a description of the composition of the fonds is given, the main powers and functions of the state chambers are determined. Case descriptions are systematized on a chronological basis in accordance with the structural units of the Kyiv Treasury Chamber. It is determined that the archival fonds of the Kyiv Treasury Chamber has a signifi cant number of various documents, which are grouped by structural and chronological characteristics. Based on the quantitative composition of the documents of the archival fonds, it was found that a signifi cant part of the documentation of the Kyiv Treasure Chamber is the result of the work of the audit, general and treasury departments. A description of the management documentation of each department of the chamber is also given. The results of the research are formed in the conclusions, namely: the general quantitative characteristic of the documents of the archival fonds is given. Documents of the Kyiv Treasury Chamber are grouped into 82,000 archival fi les. In turn, the list of cases is systematized in 215 descriptions, designed to record and disclose the content of documents. It is stated that the archival fonds of the Kyiv State Chamber has absorbed a signifi cant array of diverse information, which can serve as a wide fi eld for the study of economic, political, demographic and social history of Ukraine.
