Abstract

Bstract: The uncommon benign ovarian tumor in young age is ovarian cystadenofibroma. It mostly affects women in their middle age. Objective: To determine ovarian serous cystadenofibroma in young female patients on ultrasound. Methods: A case of 28-year-aged female presented with complaints of pain abdomen since last one year. On physical examination her fundal height appeared as pregnancy of 12-14 weeks and firm in consistency on palpation. Ultrasound examination revealed a right sided unilateral complex adnexal cystic mass with internal components in the form of septae. A provisional diagnosis of unilateral complex ovarian cyst was made and planned for laparotomy. The specimen was sent for histopathological examination to exclude that it was benign or malignant. Conclusions: Ovarian cystadenofibroma is a comparatively uncommon benign tumor that is observed among female aged 35–65 years. But it can also be diagnosed in young patients.Sonography is the first line morphologic examination to assess cystic fibroadenoma.
