Abstract
In this research was studied the possibility of using materialscontaininglignin as effective casting binders, as an alternative to phenolic resins. The mainmaterialscontaininglignin in the carried out studies, accepted technical lignosulfonates (TLS). It is consideredthe genesis of their properties in a retrospective of changes in the manufacturing of plant materials. In the research were studied the ways to improve their quality, stability properties, and bonding ability, which are achieved by modifying them with surface-active substances and / or high-energy mechanical processing methods. This treatmentincreasesthe bindingability of the material from 0.03 MPa % to 0.5 MPa %, which is comparable with phenolic-based resin binders.
