ANALYSIS AND INTENSIFICATION OF IMD IN MULTITONE ANALOG CATV TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS

In this paper, we analyze analog CATV transmission system where only one wavelength is used for transmission on which multiple analog RF channels are modulated. We analyze different modulation distortions such as composite second order (CSO), composite triple beat (CTB) and intermodulation distortions at different frequencies using different lasers. Good performance of CSO > −4.5dBc and CTB > −8.2 dBc are obtained at 62.5MHz, 125MHz and 187.5MHz in three tones CATV transmission system using FP etalon at receiver site.
