Abstract
Objective: to study the features of formation of the cellular and humoral parts of the immune system in premature infants with extremely low and very low birth weight. It has been established that the peculiarities of humoral reactivity in extremely low and very low birth weight infants are low synthesis of immunoglobulins A and M, hypoimmunoglobulinemia of class G and a weak immune response, which cause an increased susceptibility to infections in these children. Immunodeficiency and imbalance of lymphocyte subpopulations are characteristic of infants who have extremely low and very low birth weight.
