Abstract
The article deals with the problems of interdisciplinary nature of applied cultural studies. Applied culturology as a construct of culture with its characteristic features and specific subject of research is investigated. The difference between applied cultural studies and fundamental cultural studies is considered. The characteristics of applied cultural studies, such as the variety of methods used, the specifics of the choice of methodologies for each particular study, were clarified. The applied level of cultural studies, such as functional orientation, borderline character trait, is analyzed.
