Abstract
In the modern scientific world debates about the definition of "culture" are continuing. So far, the enormous number of options of this definition is offered. What can explain such variety of interpretations of the culture concept? First of all, the fact that the culture expresses depth and immensity of human existence. The culture is multifaceted, multidimensional in the same way as the person is inexhaustible and diverse. At the same time, the culture is the study object of representatives of various branches of scientific knowledge (historians, sociologists, psychologists, philosophers, musicologists, etc.). The research aim and the methods specific to a particular science determine the way of thinking about the phenomenon of culture.
