Abstract
The article analyzes the problematic issues with processing and management regulation of household waste. The experience of the European Union, as well as Germany and Sweden, in managing waste issues was examined. It is concluded that it is important to bring Ukrainian legislation in line with Directive 2008/98 / EU. And also noticeable shifts in this direction are indicated, namely, the adoption of the law "On the basic principles (strategies) of the state environmental policy of Ukraine for the period until 2030".
