Abstract
The purpose of the study mainly concentrates towards the effects of Organizational Commitment and Perceived Organizational Support (POS) towards predicting turnover intentions among information technology (IT) employees in Chennai. The objective of the study is to identify realistic as well as theoretical implications of the above mentioned relationships. The research was undertaken in Chennai IT Sectors. It was identified that Perceived organization Support and Organization Commitment are the best predictors of Turnover Intention among the IT employees. Employees with high perceived organization support and high organization commitment are less likely to leave the organization. As Organization Commitment was found to influence Turnover intention very high, this provides a path for Management and Managers struggling to retain valuable employees.
