Abstract

E-commerce includes the mass media and the internet deals with goods and services. E-commerce consists of a business using Internet and IT, such as Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). E-Commerce refers to the Web platform of the retailer selling goods or services directly from the network to the consumer's-Commerce in India is gaining pace with escalating demands amongst the consumers to buy different varieties of products and services from the pool offered worldwide. A contract plays a very important role it this and contract is the most sensitive and important in respect to legal matters of business. Elevation of technology, computer programs and the internet has reduced the barrier of interaction leading to wide acceptance of these contracts. E-contract has different advantages over traditional contracts. These contracts are focused on parties, lawful purpose, lawful consideration, etc., and they are few essential elements required to form legally enforceable electronic contracts. This present article deals with a precise explanation of E-contracts, contemporary issues faced by it, analysis of its enforceability in the country. This information will help to enshrine the challenges faced by electronic contracts, with judicial prospective over these scenarios.
