Abstract
Desiccant cooling System performance, its energy-saving potentials, and its modelling techniques have been the subject of intense interests for HVAC Engineers. These systems have yielded a number of thermodynamic system designs and simulation methods for cooling purposes. In this article, the heat and mass transfer phenomenon, governing equation for solid desiccant dehumidifier wheels are elaborated in detail. The mathematical modelling of the desiccant wheel helps in selecting the solid desiccant dehumidifier wheel for required applications by using novel designs at low regeneration temperatures. In this mathematical model, the heat and mass transfer equations have been derived and solved by PDE solver and the desiccant wheel parameters are investigated
