Abstract
Social networking sites are the main sources that help people to connect and collaborate with each other. The purpose of the paper is to find out the main reason behind how people choose the social media tools used to connect with companies. The paper also aims to study the adoption of the relationship between people and companies on social media platforms. It is indicated that people prefer and select the social media platforms according to their needs and interests. Getting more irrelevant advertisement while using any social media platform increases the level of interruption and creates some disinterest for a person. Thus, choosing among various available social media platforms, depends upon the relationship between people and a specific social media platform. So, clear recommendations for companies are to target people based on their needs and showed interest. A common approach to everyone not only reduces their budding interest but even makes them wary of frequent advertisements
