Abstract
Blunt bodies with edge less geometry out-run with high drag during supersonic speed. So the evaluation leads to aerospike attachment that deduces the drag of pointless bodies. During those speeds Pressure drag and aero heating stirred by the shock waves are the main challenge of hypersonic flight. Most of the shapes are found to be blunt shapes as they are easy to design and manufacture, where cost is been reduced and performance is increased. This paper gives us about the concepts involved in individual spike of distinct shape which is attached to blunt nose travelling in supersonic speed. It concludes by observingthe total drag obtained and optimizing it by installing spikes of different shapes on the nose. Computational simulations operated for AOA of 00, 50and 80during supersonic speed
