Abstract
An analytical studytofind the effect of squeeze film lubrication with couple stress fluid in the presence of magnetic field on porous conical bearingis carried out inthe present article. Modified Reynolds equation is derived for film pressure, load carrying capacity and squeeze film time. Graphical presentation of pressure, load carrying capacity and squeeze film time for different values of permeability, Hartmann number, couple stress fluid and half-cone angle is explained. It was found that pressure, load carrying capacity and squeeze film time are predominant for higher values of Hartmann number and couple stress parameter. Also, it was observed that the squeeze film characteristics reduce for higher values of permeability parameter.
