Abstract
This paper provides an overview of different parameters such as Temperature, Light, Ultraviolet Radiation, and Humidity on the growth and development of Crops. Earlier Reviews on the field crop responses for different parameters are studied for a variety of crop species. Although weather and climate conditions always are not constant. They had always experienced changes either positive or negative but recent atmospheric conditions played a very adverse condition effect on the crop condition. During the last century, the temperature increase was noticed around 0.70C which has been surpassed by the first decade of the 21st century scoring about 10C average global rise. Here, we report the effects of UV-B radiation, temperature, humidity and Light intensity on visual symptoms, leaf ultrastructure and anatomy, photosynthetic pigments, UV-B absorbing compounds, photosynthesis, growth and development, yield, genotypic differences, and finally, interactions of UV-B with abiotic and biotic factors of crop plants. Results from the few studies on the interaction of different Parameters that mention such as Biotic and Abiotic factors did not lead to useful conclusions. Studies are needed to quantify the effect of these parameters in a controlled condition such as a Greenhouse, Polyhouse such that dynamic responses can be studied.
