Industry accounts for almost a quarter of water withdrawals worldwide. The water demand in the industrial sector is alarming due to free availability of water and ineffective management. While the developed countries have been able to reduce the use of water in industry, in the developing world industrial water usage is growing at astronomical rates 1,2 . Hence other than implementing new technologies for efficient water usage within the industry, there is need for a new paradigm for water distribution in industrial area so as to promote sustainability3
