Abstract
The study of oil composition, including the content and distribution of trace elements and natural radionuclides in raw hydrocarbon deposits of various sedimentary basins and petroleum regions relevant in connection with large-scale losses of oil during extraction, transportation and processing. The nomenclature and concentration of trace elements in the oil of different fields can be used to identify the source of oil pollution of the environment (the "fingerprint" method).
