Using Socratic method in seminars

This article is dedicated to exploring the importance of using the Socratic Method. There are 3 main reasons why the Socratic Method is still used today. It helps to develop critical thinking skills; it makes students think quickly. This forces students to be prepared and alert. The Socratic Method leads to the development of critical thinking skills by showing students how to identify weak points in an argument. Once you can identify what makes an argument weak, they can strategize argumentation at a higher level. By teaching students how to quickly answer questions, he prepares them to quickly question the judge. Forcing students to always be prepared and considerate teaches students responsibility.
